Connected with Spine Clinics

Shockwave Clinics builds on the clinical experience within Spine Clinics. Our focus on shockwave brings that knowledge into a targeted approach to musculoskeletal symptoms. Your symptoms, the assessment and what you want to be able to do together determine the next step.

Experienced clinicians. Focused clinical expertise.

The Spine Clinics team includes experienced clinicians with knowledge of muscle and tendon conditions, shockwave and musculoskeletal ultrasound. This expertise supports careful assessment, an evidence-informed treatment choice and personal guidance.

Two techniques. An informed choice.

Having both techniques available allows us to make an informed choice. Focused shockwaves and radial pressure waves are different. Your diagnosis and treatment goals determine which option we discuss.

Additional EMTT where appropriate

EMTT may have a role alongside focused and radial shockwave. One study in persistent non-calcific shoulder tendinopathy reported better outcomes with focused shockwave plus EMTT than with focused shockwave plus sham EMTT. This finding requires individual assessment and is not a general promise of recovery.

More than the equipment

Our planned approach combines assessment, explanation, targeted treatment and advice on managing physical load. Ultrasound may be considered to answer a relevant clinical question; it is not automatically needed and does not, by itself, determine a treatment plan.

Making our approach transparent

Before launch, we will present the clinical team, relevant training, equipment and how we monitor outcomes. The roadmap sets out the clinical and operational arrangements needed to support this approach.

Concept in development. Team profiles, training, device models and final starting locations are confirmed prior to publication.
